MMBC Associate Clergy and Staff

MMBC has three of the most tenured, scriptured knowledable and experienced associate ministers in the area.  
Rev. Alphonso Washington

Alphonso Washington began his life in Hume VA coming to the MMBC since 1916 with his grandfather, Elder Phillip Washington, who raised him until he passed in 1926. He has since joined MMBC, the church founded by his great grandfather and pastored by the same. Since returning to the VA from TX where he spent 59 years, he married his wife, then Carol Whitmore and former secretary of the church, in 2002. He resumed his very active life in VA through MMBC as an associate minister, traveling over the hills of VA to preach in local churches, perform marriages, funerals, and counseling. and reuniting with his local Poles. About 7+ years agp he was appointed by the Moderator of 2nd National Ketoctan Baptist Association, to the position of Senior Statesman, where he continues to serve through preaching, committee appointments, the Sunday School Conference, the Women's Auxiliary and Ministers and Deacons Conference. He wrote a book in 2009 called, All in God's Time and has held book signings and been the keynote speaker at numerous events throughout Fauquier County. He has served as an American Legion Chaplain for 75 years, and has been preaching the Word for over 80 years.

 

    Rev. Dr. Jeffrey L. Hackley

Dr. Hackley is a native Washingtonian and a product of the Maryland Public School System, born in Front Royal, Virginia.  Dr. Hackley is also married to the lovely Minister Vivian Hackley.  They became members of Mount Morris Baptist Church in October of 2007. 

 

Dr. Hackley obtained the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies with honors from Washington Bible College, as well as, earning the Master of Divinity Degree in Pastoral Ministries and securing the Doctor of Ministry Degree in Pastoral Leadership & Management with honors from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.

 

Currently, Dr. Hackley serves as an associate at the Mount Morris Baptist Church, in Hume, Virginia under the pastorate of the Rev. Dr. Lindsay O. Green.

 

Dr. Hackley has a sincere desire to share the love of Christ with all of God’s people and to let them know that they can live their lives responsibly, victoriously, and worship the Lord in the beauty of His holiness. 

 

Of all the characteristic-traits demonstrated by Dr. Hackley, none is more outstanding than his ability to explain the truths in Scripture and bring forth the reality and relevance of God’s Word and how it should be applied to one’s life.
